Military jet crashes in Virginia

An F/A-18 jet crashed Friday in a civilian area in Virginia Beach, Va., the U.S. Navy confirmed to NBC News.
The official confirms that both pilots on board ejected and that two parachutes were spotted. There are no immediate reports of casualties on the ground but the official says they suspect there will be injuries or casualties.
State and local police were on the scene to assist the military, according to Grazia Moyers, spokeswoman for the Virginia Beach Police Department, NBC affiliate station WAVY reported.
