My wife informed me that after Christmas, we are canceling cable. She is getting the Kkids the new PS3 Move. We are going to use that to stream Hulu, Netflix and a host of other items. I have just loaded over 700 Albums onto the PC, so we are getting a DLNA capable Wireless Router and use the PC as a DLNA server to play the music through our home theater system, and we are upgrading our internet cable.

The cost for the cable/internet bill we be reduced by $60.00/month, which will mean the gear will be paid off in 9 months, including the games we are ordering with it.

A la carte is the wave of the future. With wireless phone companies about ready to take the plunge into comprehensive entertainment and internet services, cable may go the way of beta-max soon if they do not adjust.
