He was in the late stages of something very much like Lou Gherigs disease (his motor nerves were deteriorating and he was sleeping 22 hours a day and had been told by Doctors that he was going to die anyway).

In his own way, I think he chose to die with dignity.

I think the most humorous part of the article was when they said that Jon was a carpenter. Jon never did any type of manual labor like that. But anyway...I've gotten used to the scrutiny and have since developed a thick skin about things such as this. I agree that this was probably an individual with a personal grudge. I just felt it necessary to comment...I've always protected Jon and I'm not about to stop now. And yes...those of you that knew Jon know the truth of who is was and what he was about.

Nothing will ever take away from Jon's fine character, his guts and also the courage and character of his wife and family.

It looks like the guy who wrote this is also a Fundamentalist Christian out to hit us all over the head with the bible too--

What a weird place in the article to work that in!! He just brings 'Jesus' up out of nowhere and then just moves on...

Some ass afflicted with a grudge of such childish proportions that he/she didn't even attempt to make the article sound faintly neutral or objective. Hostility and (religious) pettimindedness displayed so openly discredits the author right off the bat and makes the eyebrows of any reader do a major wave.
