As of July 14, 2004 the US Patent and Trademark Office has granted me rights of trademark protection for my service mark "AL-QAEDA"
As such I would appreciate that any and all party using my trademark "AL-QAEDA" without expressed written permission by me cease and desist henceforth or I will be forced to seek damages as may be caused by the unfair use of my service mark..

Again this shall serve as my first public demand for groups to immediately cease and desist in the illegal infringements on my service marks.

Seeing this thread reminds me, there is virtually zero evidence that Al Qaeda is what Osama called his organisation. I have since found out that the reference given on Wikipedia:

Is to an interview between an Al Jazeera correspondent and Bin Laden in October 2001. However, the story goes that under US pressure this interview was never broadcast on Al Jazeera. We are 2011 now and I doubt "security reasons" can be given as excuse not to broadcast it. There is NO WAY to verify whether anything in this interview is correctly translated, whether it is actually in the interview or whether the interview was real in the first place.
